What is CPD on The Millbrook Hub?

The Millbrook Hub allows healthcare professionals to earn RCP-approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits by watching eligible on-demand conference content.

CPD certificates are issued per conference and can be used as supporting evidence for professional appraisal and revalidation.

How do I earn CPD credits?

You earn CPD credits by watching eligible conference sessions on The Millbrook Hub.

Eligible conferences are clearly marked throughout the platform with the: “CPD Eligible Content” badge within the on-demand section.

Credits are calculated automatically based on your verified viewing time.

How many CPD credits can I earn?

You earn: 1 CPD credit for every hour of eligible content watched

There is currently no annual limit on the number of CPD credits you can earn through The Millbrook Hub.

Which conferences are eligible for CPD?

Only selected conferences approved for on-demand CPD accreditation are eligible.

Eligible conferences are identified within The Hub using the “CPD Eligible Content” badge within the on-demand section of The Hub.

Approved conferences may change throughout the year as new accreditations are granted and others expire.

How is my watch time calculated?

Watch time is calculated:

  • per user
  • per eligible conference
  • across all eligible sessions watched within that conference

Your viewing time from multiple sessions within the same conference is combined automatically.

Does rewatching a session give additional CPD?

No.

Only your unique watch time counts towards CPD.

If a session is watched multiple times, your CPD contribution for that session is capped at the official duration of the video.

For example:

  • watching a 20-minute session once = 20 minutes CPD
  • watching the same session three times = still only 20 minutes CPD

Are credits combined across different conferences?

No. CPD certificates are issued per conference.

Time watched from different conferences is not combined together, meaning separate certificates are generated for each eligible conference.

When are certificates issued?

Certificates are issued monthly, usually at the beginning of each month.

Certificates include CPD earned during the previous calendar month.

What information appears on my certificate?

Certificates include:

  • Your full name
  • Conference name
  • Number of CPD credits awarded
  • Total eligible viewing time
  • CPD accreditation code
  • Eligible viewing period
  • Unique certificate reference number

How long is conference content CPD eligible for?

On-demand CPD approval is valid for a limited period after accreditation is granted.

Once a conference’s accreditation window expires:

  • watch time will no longer contribute towards CPD
  • certificates can no longer be issued for that content

Does watching on mobile and desktop both count?

Yes. Watch time is tracked across:

  • The Millbrook Hub mobile app
  • Desktop/browser viewing

What happens if I pause or leave a video?

Only verified viewing time is counted.

The system tracks actual watched content rather than simply opening a video.

Why haven’t I received a certificate yet?

Possible reasons include:

  • insufficient eligible watch time
  • content watched was not CPD approved
  • the conference accreditation window expired
  • certificates for the current month have not yet been issued
